Fine-dining restaurant Pai Thai is all set to commemorate annual Thai festival with a specially curated three-course set sharing menu. With live music performers, traditional homemade decorations created by the staff themselves and lights, Pai Thai will unravel a true Thai experience through it ambience, food and décor.
Pai Thai’s Loy Krathong experience opens with an abra ride along the meandering waterways of Souk Madinat Jumeirah, before a warm Thai welcome whets the appetite for an authentic dining experience. Guests will sit down to a specially-curated set menu that comprises unlimited starters, mains and desserts ordered on rotation and perfect for sharing. As part of the celebration and entertainment, diners will be entertained by Pai Thai’s resident dancer Thai Wanthakan who will perform throughout the festival on a floating abra on the Madinat Jumeirah waterways. The Loy Krathong menu features starters such as Som Tam Je (green papaya salad, tomato, apple, cashew nuts and tamarind dressing) and Gai Hor Bai Toey (crispy marinated chicken wrapped in pandan leaf, garlic and sweet soya sauce), while Chef Aphichat Amatmontri and his team of super-talented chefs have rustled up a brand new appetiser - Sa Khu Na Goong (crispy prawns, garlic, coriander, oyster sauce, soya sauce and breadcrumbs).
The main course includes Gaeng Panang Gai (chicken red curry, lychee, kaffir lime leaf, chili and Thai basil), Tao Hoo Phad Prik Thai Dum (wok fried crispy tofu, onion, capsicum, corn, black pepper and soy sauce) and Phad Phed Nuea (wok fried beef red curry, long beans, Thai eggplant, coconut shoot, corn, red chili and sweet basil), while the new addition, Pla Yang Sa Moon Pai (grilled seabass fish fillet, garlic, coriander, onion, kaffir lime leaf, soya leaf and lime dressing), demands to be tasted. Dessert comes in the form of Kao Niew Ma Muang (sweet sticky rice, ripe mango, coconut syrup and sesame seeds).
The Loy Krathong 2017 menu is available for dinner sittings between November 1-17 at Pai Thai, Al Qasr, Madinat Jumeirah.
