Arabian Travel Market 2017 concludes successfully

The 24th edition of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2017 recently concluded with a spectacular display by exhibitors across the world showcasing the best of what travel, tourism and hospitality industry has to offer.

ATM was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who was accompanied by dignitaries including HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and CEO of the Emirates Group; and His Excellency Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

The event welcomed over 2,600 confirmed exhibitors with around 100 exhibiting for the first time, representing more than 150 countries, across 65 national pavilions. The show extended across an additional hall, in order to meet growing demand.

Several deals were struck, new partnerships and announcements were made at the event, paving way for new business avenues. Some of the key highlights from the four day event included: Unveiling of Business Class Q-Suite by Qatar Airways for the first time in the Middle East; Sabre revealing the results of survey conducted among business and leisure travellers from the UAE; collaboration between Dubai Taxi collaborates and Lama Desert Tours & Cruises to use limo in tours service; massive expansion plans by Shangri-La Hotels And Resorts in Asia; unveiling of The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences by Kerzner International; Amadeus celebrating its 30th anniversary and La Perle announcing its launch.
